PROJECT72 is our summer challenge to engage God’s word and prayer for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic years. Why 72? It represents the first 72 hours (or first 3 days) a freshman steps foot on the UCLA campus. Our hope and prayer is to connect with these incoming students as the decisions they make in these hours can determine the trajectory of their entire college career.

PERIMETER72

We are circling the UCLA perimeter 72 times in prayer as a way to prepare for outreach in Fall 2019! Join us in praying for the incoming freshmen, returning students, staff and faculty and our upcoming Acts2Fellowship Zero Week events!

How to Participate:

  1. Gather with a group of friends (at least 3 people).

  2. Download and print out a PERIMETER72 prayer guide.

  3. Walk a circle around the UCLA perimeter and pray for the campus and the students coming in the fall. Paid parking is available at the P4 Parking Lot. Don't forget to bring plenty of water!

  4. Send a prayer circle selfie and a sentence of what you prayed for to project72ucla@gmail.com. Your picture will get posted on the PROJECT72 Instagram with a caption indicating the count of groups who did prayer walks around the UCLA perimeter. For example, if you were the very first group, your caption would be “PERIMETER1”. The goal is to get to “PERIMETER72” by the end of summer!

READ72

There is no better way to prepare and equip ourselves for outreach than to be in the Word! Join us in reading the New Testament and the book of Psalms over the summer. If you read for 15-20 minutes per day for 72 days, you will have finished the entire New Testament and book of Psalms! Follow the Instagram as we go through the reading plan as there will be updates and posts to provide encouragement and useful information along the way.

How to Participate:

  1. Download and print out a READ72 Bible reading plan. The reading plan involves reading a section of the New Testament and Psalms each day with periodic Bible Project videos to provide context and explanation.

  2. Follow the READ72 reading plan. Check off all days in which you completed the reading.

  3. Send a picture of your completed READ72 Bible reading plan to project72ucla@gmail.com.
